Jane Neff Rollins is a professional genealogist who specializes in Jewish genealogy, Russian translation, and breaking down brick walls. The first time she saw an ancestor on the 1900 census, she cried. She has researched in Chicago, New York, Salt Lake, Washington DC, and Israel. Jane has translated Russian documents for clients and online databases. She belongs to APG, GSG, SCGS, and JGSLA.

SCGS Genealogy Jamboree 2015: Marriott Room Reservations Open

If you're planning on attending the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree and Genetic Genealogy: DNA Plus! conference, and need a place to stay, you should make your reservations now.

Over half of all Jamboree attendees stay overnight at least one night at a hotel.  Most choose to stay at the official conference venue, the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport.

Will there be enough hotel rooms?
After selling out early for Jamboree 2014, SCGS has increased our room block at the Marriott.  There should be enough rooms for everyone who reserves in advance.  The best advice - reserve NOW!

Room rates are $160 per night single or double occupancy for the standard room, $170 per night for three occupants, and $185 for four. There is a small block of Concierge level rooms that carries a higher room rate of $180 per night, and includes special amenities (free food!).

Reservations must be made by May 13, 2015.

To make your room reservations, click here.  If you do not see the $160 rate, please let us know.  It may mean that the block is already full.

If you want to call the Marriott directly to make your reservation, call (818) 843-6000 or (800) 840-6450.  Be sure to mention the group Genealogical Jamboree 2015 in order to get the Jamboree rates and guarantee your room.

In-room Internet access is available for an extra fee.  Free wi-fi is available throughout the common areas of the hotel and the meeting rooms.  You may wish to rent a wi-fi hotspot for the event.

The discounted parking rate for Jamboree is $12 per day.  Valet parking is available at $26 per day.  Overnight guests of the Marriott enjoy in-and-out privileges, and parking charges can be added to your hotel bill for your convenience.
