Learn about basic English genealogy resources – civil registration, censuses and parish church records, and learn basic strategies to work back before 1800 using wills, tax and other records.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jay Fonkert is a director of APG, a trustee of the BCG Education Fund, and a past president of the Minnesota Genealogical Society. He has published more than 30 research and teaching articles in Minnesota Genealogist, The Septs, Family Chronicle, NGS Magazine and the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and has spoken at society meetings and major conferences in eight states and provinces.
